故事發(fā)生在清朝末年，席方平（沙溢 飾）的父親是清正廉潔的監(jiān)察御史，卻遭到了貪官的誣陷而被斬首。這一幕恰巧被嫉惡如仇的女鬼小謝（席與立 飾）瞧見，小謝決定替席方平的父親伸冤。在席方平為父親守靈之夜，小謝現(xiàn)身，把自己的計(jì)劃告訴了席方平。在小謝的帶領(lǐng)下，兩人來到了陰曹地府，哪知道這里的閻王判官亦是貪官污吏之流，不僅未能還席方平父親的清白，還讓席方平白白遭了不少的罪?！ ∫怆y平的小謝又不顧自己的安危，帶著茍活的席方平勇闖天庭，得到了二郎神的幫助，最終使得席方平的父親沉冤得雪。在此過程中，小謝和席方平之間也生出了一段人鬼之戀。
