1988，還是孩童的凱蒂（科蘿爾·森格瑞 Chloe Csengery 飾）和克莉絲蒂（杰茜卡·泰勒·布朗 Jessica Tyler Brown 飾）隨著媽媽朱莉（勞倫·彼特納 Lauren Bittner 飾）以及繼父丹尼爾（克里斯托弗·尼古拉斯·史密斯 Christopher Nicholas Smith 飾）搬入一幢全新的大房子居住。丹尼爾是攝影工作者，平時經(jīng)常拿著攝像機(jī)拍來拍去。某晚他拍攝和朱莉的私生活，卻在畫面中看到奇怪的影響。他直覺房子內(nèi)似乎藏著不為人知的秘密，于是在房間的各個角落假設(shè)攝像機(jī)日夜拍攝。
