失去雙親的街舞者安迪（布萊恩娜·伊維根 Briana Evigan 飾）自小就開始了對(duì)街舞的執(zhí)著練習(xí)，她所在的巴爾的摩知名街舞團(tuán)體410最近完成了“銳舞爭(zhēng)霸賽”的視頻參賽宣言，而她的監(jiān)護(hù)人因這次出格的視頻內(nèi)容威脅要把她送離此地，幸好在朋友的斡旋下，安迪選擇進(jìn)入馬里蘭藝術(shù)學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)，保住了眼下的生活。學(xué)校里的明星學(xué)生查斯（羅伯特·霍夫曼 Robert Hoffman 飾）對(duì)安迪頗有興趣，要求加入銳舞爭(zhēng)霸賽卻被后者無(wú)視。安迪因?qū)W業(yè)繁重不能兼顧410的訓(xùn)練，終于導(dǎo)致被開除。失意的安迪接受了查斯的邀請(qǐng)，和他物色來(lái)的眾多校內(nèi)隱藏的舞蹈高手組成新隊(duì)伍，向銳舞爭(zhēng)霸賽發(fā)起沖擊……
